Thanks, they had to reattach at least one of the ligaments, ended up with one plate and nine screws. Broke the fibula clean, but the tibia was basically shattered on the end at the joint. No weight for 3 months, then a walking boot for the next 3 so you can see why I would be hopeful. Will keep you updated.

@James Six months! I hope it is much faster than that too. I look forward to hearing from you in three or four months to see how you are doing. There's supplements for the ligaments too that you may want to get to help speed that recovery. Ligaplex 2 from Standard Process is the best I've found.

@Chris Sorry to hear about your son, that's rough. I did heal pretty fast. The problem though was gaining the strength back, and there was some ligament issue in the elbow that took really long to heal. Not sure when he starts practice, but he'll heal faster than I did because of his youth.

Curious to see if you were able to heal this bone quicker than anticipated. My son fracured his radius yesterday and is devestated that he'll miss basketball season.

A long time ago, I met someone who had recovered quickly from a devestating accident by taking supplements. More recently, a natural health physician told me that Mangosteen had helped her recover from some nerve damage suffered in an auto accident. Thanks for your submission to Take Charge of Your Health Care Carnival.

Ok, here's the short version. Standard Process products:
Calcifood 1/2 tablespoon twice a day, CalMa Plus three 2X a day, Ostrophine PMG three 2X a day, Whole desiccated spleen three 2X a day, cataplex F one three times a day (or 1am, 2pm). Mediherb echinacea premium (may be out of stock due to the flu scare, if so get the other one, it's not as good, but still helpful) five ml twice a day, and Gotu Kola five ml twice a day. The herbs are best taken on an empty stomach (a few minutes before you eat is fine, but an hour before is best), and take the supplements with food.

Another issue is having enough HcL in the stomach to ionize the minerals to a useable form. I take Betaine Hydrochloride from SP (two with each meal, during the meal is best, but after is ok), but you need to clear h. pylori at least concurrently. brassicatea.com has a link where you can order their tea. Two cups a day for ten days will clear h. pylori.

Hiya

Kalidasa,

Really intrigued to hear about your theory on broken bones healing more quickly when taking supplements. I've got a suspected broken rib or ribs, but doctors won't X-ray. Just say I've probably broken them. As I'm heading on a holiday where I'll be throwing myself down the sides of a mountain on a bike in a month's time, I am desperate to do whatever I can to help the bone heel. Currently after a week and two days, I'm still seeing stars every time I sneeze or cough.

Any help gratefully appreciated.
