I Can't Get Better

Do you find yourself saying “I can’t get better. No matter what I do I just don’t seem to heal from the health problems I have.” If so, the most common cause is being stuck in a state of fight or flight.

What the Fight or Flight Response Does to Your Body
When in fight/flight your body is constantly revved up for getting out of their, or fighting for your life. When the systems for fight or flight are active most all of the other systems in your body will shut down. This includes cellular repair, the immune system, digestion, reproduction and detoxification. In other words, healing can’t happen.

This happens when stress is a way of life instead of a short term response to a temporary problem. Health and wellness simply are not possible in that state. Sadly, this is the state that most people in the modern world find themselves in.

Chronic fight or flight can lead to many different conditions that won’t respond to treatment. Even strong medications will often only have a slight effect on physical problems. Herbs and supplements won’t have much effect either.

Even very strong adrenal fatigue herbs will only seem to keep the system barely maintaining itself and not really getting better. You might need to take the herbs just to keep functioning. I’ve seen this a lot in my practice.

Fight or Flight Causes
There can be many causes of the stress that causes fight or flight. Diet is a big one, especially sugar and ground up grains. Emotional stress is another. Either can lead to long term stress or the fight or flight reaction, though a chronic state of fight or flight usually has emotions at the root, even if caused by bad foods.

When long term emotional stress happens there are two ways to get unstuck. First is to resolve the issue. A solid resolution will usually result in the body getting unstuck, but sometimes there is a feedback loop that keeps the problem going. Which leads to the second way to get unstuck.

Applied Kinesiology offers several methods for releasing emotional barriers to health and well being. The two I use are and enhanced version of Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), and The Emotion Code. The Emotion Code seems to work better in most cases.

Clearing Emotions
Clearing emotions from the body is the most common technique I use in treating every client and condition I see in my practice. There is an emotional overlay on almost every health issue. Some practitioners go so far as to say that all health problems have an emotional cause. I don’t completely agree, but in many cases there is truth to this, especially the case of being stuck in fight or flight.

The treatment only takes a couple of minutes. It usually takes longer to explain what I am doing and what the client needs to do than it takes to do the technique. I’ll explain it here for people who would like a phone healing session with me.

You can find the technique in The Emotion Code if you like. The limit you will have is that it requires some method of finding which emotion to treat. There are several methods for this, I use muscle testing. In a phone healing session I use a surrogate technique that works well for me.

The first step is to identify the emotion from a list of 60. The client takes a minute to intend to allow that emotion to be released while I do an energy healing technique. Once the emotion is released there is an empty place in the person’s psyche where that emotion used to be. If that space is not filled up with something else the released emotion is almost guaranteed to return. So, the next step is for the client to be willing to have whatever is perfect for them to fill that empty place while I do the energy healing technique again.

This will release the emotion from causing harm in the body on a very deep level. However, if there is some ongoing issue that brought on the emotion in the first place, then it is possible for it to return. So, some life work may be necessary to insure that fight or flight won’t return.

One of the great things about knowledge of the body is that once you know and understand how it works it becomes easy to know what the right things to do for it. And, it is much easier to do the right things when the consequences of the wrong things are fully understood. To do this I will be drawing from the knowledge of many people that I have learned from. I will talk about biochemistry relating that to what is needed to obtain optimum health. There will be information about the physical structure of the body and how to keep that aligned and functioning well. A major part of yoga has to do with health, so information about yogic techniques will be included. Mental and emotional health are important for the health of the body/mind, so articles about these topics will be included. And, there will be an occasional article about me and what I am up to. Hopefully I can relate that back to some health issue as well. The title Self Adjusting Technique comes from my technique for self-adjusting the structural part of the body, that is adjusting the body's various vertebrae and joints. For this blog it will include the idea of how to adjust health issues for yourself and those you care about. With a little knowledge there is a lot people can do to help heal themselves and stay healthy. I want to explain complex information about the body in a way that is easy to understand and useful. The comments section will help in that goal as people can ask for clarification if there is something they don't understand.     Hi Kalidasa,
    Have been impressed by you web-site and all the work you have done and keep doing.

    My journey through this “all natural” world of healing began few years ago when I was afflicted with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which I learnt 2 years later was actually adrenal fatigue). Had healed myself to a quite a large extent using homeopathy and naturopathy for first 2 years with a relapse every year. And am stuck since last 3 years without a successful recovery.

    Realizing that adrenal fatigue has emotional stress at roots, went through Energy (Theta) Healing sessions few months back. They were wonderful and helped me on a lot on the mental and emotional planes. Though on the physical plane, am trying to do away with my chronic fatigue still.
    I fully realize now that emotions cause harm to body on a deep level, wish more people knew this and also knew the ways to handle these emotions.
