Ribs Pain Question And A Rant

There was another cry for help in the email yesterday. This woman’s husband was having ribs pain that the doctors said was not from the ribs being out of alignment. In fact, the doctor denied that the ribs could go out of alignment at all. He said, “No way!”

This is so typical of the medical profession. There are many conditions that can be treated naturally that they think has no medical backing, it’s what’s taught in medical school. There are studies for many different conditions that doctors seem to know little about. And, my doctor friend agrees with me, not the party line. It’s good to know a doctor that appreciates holistic knowledge. We have a great time talking about the possibilities and new information we come across.

I didn’t mean for this to be a rant, but I do get a little board with people quoting the party line and how I’m wrong about some issue. Things that I have seen time and again to be successful at bringing relief and true healing. I am happy to answer these challenges, but so many people think that doctors know everything. I could go on, but I don’t want to go getting all political. I will say though that there are people getting rich off of this ignorance. (Ignorance means not knowing something, not necessarily stupidity.)

Anyway, there is a misalignment that can happen in the ribs causing pain. We all experience this everyday with the tightness and knots that happen at the top of the shoulders and upper back. It takes me ten seconds to get back pain relief with a simple self adjustment of those ribs. No one can tell me that ten seconds of massage is releasing those muscles and that it isn’t the ribs being realigned. I have had people that came to me right after a good massage in these areas with no relief at all. Ten seconds later they are pain free.

Since writing Self Adjusting Technique, the book I sell that teaches people how to do adjustments on themselves, I have developed a better and faster method of adjusting the ribs, especially the ones at the top of the shoulders. Just because someone is ignorant of something doesn’t mean that they are right, no mater how much education and training they have. The body is incredibly complex, and new things are being discovered every day. It is imperative that we learn about our health conditions and become proactive in being the healthiest we can. I try to offer what I have learned here. It doesn’t mean I’m right all the time either, I’m human too.

I will talk about biochemistry relating that to what is needed to obtain optimum health. There will be information about the physical structure of the body and how to keep that aligned and functioning well. A major part of yoga has to do with health, so information about yogic techniques will be included. Mental and emotional health are important for the health of the body/mind, so articles about these topics will be included. And, there will be an occasional article about me and what I am up to. Hopefully I can relate that back to some health issue as well. The title Self Adjusting Technique comes from my technique for self-adjusting the structural part of the body, that is adjusting the body's various vertebrae and joints. For this blog it will include the idea of how to adjust health issues for yourself and those you care about. With a little knowledge there is a lot people can do to help heal themselves and stay healthy. I want to explain complex information about the body in a way that is easy to understand and useful. The comments section will help in that goal as people can ask for clarification if there is something they don't understand.
